Painting and practice, people and the stories we carry

My work begins with stories , people and objects. I’m interested in what we hold onto, fragments of memory and stories that sit quietly behind an image.

Practice

My practice moves between painting, installation and participatory work, exploring memory, identity, care and the things we carry.

I recently completed an MFA at Central saint Martins where I achieved a distinction and now in my mid fifties am undertaking a professional doctorate in fine art at the University Of East London. As well as my studio practice I am co director at BOTH Gallery- an artist led contemporary gallery in Highgate London.
